10 days and counting

Hello Everyone,
As you may have read, I’m
schedualed for surgery March 1st. This has been a
challenging journey thus far. Recently, I was in an auto
accident. My car is in the shop. It is supposed to be done
by Feb. 27th. So much to do.
I am also really
concerned for my children. My mother, who is on 4 liters of
oxygen, is the only adult in the family not working. I
have a 10 yr.old and a 3 yr.old. My 13 yr.old nephew
will come to stay with her while I am in the hospital.
I have spoke with church members about bringing
food in for lunch.
The real kicker came today. I
have been on temporary total disability due to a work
injury for the last 16 months. My Dr. says that I need
to lose the weight for my back to heal. Worker’s
comp. does not want to cover it. Today they dealt a

real low blow. They cut my disability for $980.00 to
$340.00 every two weeks. I practically hyperventilated.
They didn’t give me any notice what so ever. Not only
do I have to come up with the deductible to fix my
car. I have medical bills piling up.
I was very,
very depressed. My mother is also very depressed. She
didn’t even get up today. I know that this is the right
thing to do. I have worked so hard to get here. I am
going through with this come Hell or High Waters. I
want to get my life back!!!
Once again, thanks
for letting me vent. I don’t think I would have made
it this far without this support group. I want to
thank everyone for their input and sharing their
experiences. It definetly makes the journey
easier.

Thanks bunches,
Dottie
pre-op Duodenal
