1 Month post-op
Hello again,
I am now down 26 lbs. Everyone keeps telling how great I look. It
feels good. My energy level is improving daily. I feel like I am
eating tons of food. But when watching other people, I realize that
it is hardly anything at all. The other shocker is that the amount I
eat feels "normal" to me. I can’t believe how much food people eat.
Weird.
I am really trying to focus on the protien intake now. I think my
slow-weight loss was due to getting too hungry. It was hard to get
food that I wanted the first two weeks. I live in a 2-story house,
and was not able to drive at that time. I would lay in bed thinking
of what sounded good and be unable to get it. Now my shopping list
includes; deli-select lunch meat, cottage cheese, and yogurt. I can
also drink 1% milk with ice. Michell thanks for the yogurt idea. I
can tolerate the protein powder in the yogurt. I put in 2 heaping
tsp. for 8 oz. The protein shakes get to much air in them for me.
I have had some trouble with gas. It is real uncomfortable. It makes
me feel hungry and full at the same time. Simethicone ( Gas-X) really
helps and fast.
I want to thank everyone for the support that is shared in this
group. It helps keep things in perspective.
