I did one week on liquids and then 2 weeks on pureed. I've been
eating solid food since then. I'm not really on any kind of diet, per
se. I can't eat sugar and I'm supposed to eat low-fat food as much as
possible. Basically I eat 4 ounces of protein rich foods (mostly
meats) every 4 hours. Some of the others in the support group I'm in
had problems with the pureed stage. Just because pureed food is not
terribly appetising(sp?). A couple went back to liquids and one just
went straight to well chewed solids after a week of pureed. I had
mostly ravioli and macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes during
my pureed weeks but some people have problems with pasta. I also had
mushed up with a fork Vienna Sausages and spoonfuls of low-fat peanut
butter for protein. I have been lucky enough to not have had any
problems sticking to the four ounces every few hours because I haven't
really ever been hungry. Most of the time I eat because it's time to
and I need the protein. I hope this feeling lasts forever. :-)
