Hi from a newbie

Hi,
My name is Dee & I’m from Louisiana.
I am having the by pass surgery on the 30th of April & I am scared to death.
I have lost 25 lbs for the surg. My Dr is doing it by laproscope.
He has done many this way & even those with a BMI of 80!
My BMI right now is 70 & I wanted it to be less than 70 for the surg.
I have 8 days to lose that 1 BMI. He says he is not worried at all & wants me
to stop being so concerned about this.
My daughter keeps telling me, "Mom. just think…..Apr. 30th will be the
last day that you will be fat, forever. May 1 will start a whole new life for
you."
She is the only one that knows I’m having this surg. & we have gone to all
of the seminars & I have been preparing my self ‘mentally’ for this since
Oct. My friend had hers done in Oct. & has lost 102lbs since then.
My advice to most of us who is contemplating this procedure is not to let

anyone discourage you (for any reason). This is going to save your life.
I talked with my Dr. & told him I MIGHT die having this procedure….but I
am GOING to die without it!
He agreed. But He keeps telling me not to worry….He says he will have NO
problem doing me by laproscope. The hospital stay is 2 - 3 days. Much better
than the open procedure.
Well, I’ll let you all know how it went after the 30th. Please pray for me.
