Dear Sandra,

I had the dilation done today through endoscopy. I'm not suppose to eat anything
solid until I see the doctor on Friday. But he thinks this was the problem and
it should help alot. Thanks for the response.

Hi Peggy,
My name is Nikki and I will be one month post op as of the 7th. I have had
some of the same problems that you spoke of. I was back in the hospital on
memorial day also :-) I had some tests ran and the decided that i have
gastridis (sp). I was having a hard time eating or drinking anything
because it hurt soooo bad. I had constant pains for two weeks from it,
today was the first day that I actually feel half way normal again. I think
the meds that the dr gave me are actually working now. Hang in and I am
sure all is going to be great as soon as they find out what it is.

Hi,

My name is Peggy I am 30 days post op. I Have now lost 31 lbs. I have not had
any diarhea as you mentioned. As a matter of fact at first I had constipation.
But its ok now. I on the other hand have had bouts of vomiting. I had to go to
emergency on memorial day because I couldn't even hold water, had to get
hydrated again. (I had stomach flu) but I am still having problems eating even
pureed food. My doctor is having me have an upper GI endoscopy on monday to try
and find and take care of this problem. It will be a month tomorrow since I had
the surgery. I am frustrated because I can hardly eat anything, or I am afraid
it will come up. Any one else had this problem.

Hello Sharon,

From what I have read so far this is normal. Must
remember your body (system) has a completely new why
of processing food. With each step forward there will
be adjusting to do. Of course the best person to speak
with is your doctor.
