nausea problems
I am 30 days post op. I have been to the doctors every week since surgery. I am
having problems eating. I am throwing up. Anyone else had this problem. I am
going for an Upper GI endoscopy on monday. Doctor said my stoma may need
stretched slightly or I could have developed ulcers. Anyone else not even able
to eat pureed foods. I can eat yogurt, popsicles, pudding.

Hello Peggy,
I am one year post op yesterday and want you to know that some of us
I went on soft and pureed
still have problems with throwing up.
foods at day 11 and that was the start of the problem. I do have
streaches of 3 to 4 weeks with out throwing up then bam I will go 2
to 4 days were I throw up everything I eat. In the past month I was
hospitalized with internal bleeding…at discharge they said I more
then likely have an ulcer in the closed off part of my tummy (they
dont know for sure), since they can not see into there they are
treating me for it anyway. I wish you the best of luck and hope that
you dont have ulcers and that things will stay down for you soon.
Hugs,
Dorothy

Peggy,
my surgery was on Apr. 30th & I am CONSTANTLY nauseated!
I throw up rarely, though.
My Dr. told me that several people have complained with this same thing &
that is may last 3 to 4 months, but that it will go away & stay away, too.

Thanks for the response about my nausea problem. I had an upper GI Endoscopy
done today. My stoma was to small and that is why the Doctor felt that I had so
much pain trying to eat and vomiting. He dilated the stoma to a slightly larger
opening. Because of swelling from the test, I am on liquids a few days until I
see him friday, but he thinks this will make a big difference and I should be
able to eat. Its bee 33 days. I’m hungry.
