=:D (not for the squeamish)

Thank you all for your warm welcome and prayers. I truly appreciate
it. But, I’ve read back about 5 pages, and thought I’d give a little
advice to anyone who may have trouble wiping their backside. At
522lbs, I know all about that and I’m even afraid of my toilet
tipping over or something! hehehe. But, back about 2 years ago when
I actually sprained my right arm trying to wipe my behind, I decided
I had to be inventive and think of a different way of going about
things. At first, I was just jumping into the shower stall and using
my hose, but that’s not 100% effective. I don’t quite know how, or
maybe I do but I’m too embarassed to admit it =:D, but I took an old
tshirt and cut off the sleeves & collar, and then cut the remainder
into long strips about 4 inches wide and about 2 feet long (or
longer) but no more than 3 feet. And then I went and bought some
Huggies baby wipes, took two wipes and tied them at the two opposite
corners around the cloth, overlapping them, and then looped the cloth

Calldot Update

Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

Hi Y’all,
I know I haven’t posted in a while. I have been pretty busy with
family issues. The summer is here, and the kids are out of school. I
am doing really well. My energy level is great. I started back into
pool therapy about a month ago. My back is feeling better. I am able
to walk around the block with out so much pain. I hope to go back to
work next month.
My current weight is 242 lbs. I went through my clothes and got rid
of over half of them. They don’t fit. :) I am able to eat 4 times a
day and still get in 80 to 100 grams of protein. I feel best when I
eat this much protein. Able to eat just about anything. Still try to
avoid foods that are gaseous.
Hey Tiffany, hang in there. It is rough at 1st, but it will get
better. Pace yourself, rest when you feel tired, and take it easy.
Things are going to be changing in your life. I have been keeping a

Menstrual cramps

Friday, January 21st, 2005

Hi all,

And I am going to start off by apoligizing to the gentlemen of the
group for the content of my email. I know my husband hates to talk
about it so I am sure not all of them would enjoy reading it. lol I
was wondering if anyone has noticed cramping with their menstrual
cramps since surgery? Mine were bad to begin with but now it seems
that they are almost unbearable. All I have wanted to do is lay on
the bed with heat on my back and hips…(I have them now) :-)
Would love to hear anyones input!!

Thanks,
Nikki

This is to Granny

Friday, January 21st, 2005

Hi Granny,

I am new to the site. I am going in July 3rd for my surgery. It took
me approx. 2 years before I decided to go and do it. I am so ready
for this now. I have several friends of mines that had the surgery
and are doing just fine. I am 278lbs at this time. I hope I can get
to 130. I know that the decision to do it was very frighting but, I
want to see my son have his children one of these days. I want to go
to Alaska next year. I want to do a lot of things but if I am not
here to do it???? Take your time and research as much as possible.

In the Beginning of Your Surgery…………

Even tho’ you knew things were gonna get better after the surgery
with the weight loss, did you still get depressed and bored once in a
while???

Thanks!
