I’m Sooooooo Lost!!!!
I’ve been so depressed lately, that it’s not even funny! It
takes
away a lot of my energy too. After I had
my WLS on June 7th, I’ve been losing a lot of weight. I’ve lost
about 100 lbs. so far overall. The highest weight I was, was 550
lbs. When I went in for surgery, I was 397 lbs. Now I’m down to
340 - lbs.
Now that I’ve had my surgery, and it’s all done and over with. It
seems that my whole life is on hold now. My summer has been soooo
boring so far, while everyone else is enjoying theirselves and having
a ball, having a great time. I’m now on my monthly, while I had an
opportunity to go to a beach party this weekend. So now I’m not
going. I wish I can get out more (more than I’m getting out now).
All I’ve been doing is working on my diet, working out, and that’s
it. I really wish I had a much better social life. I hate being
trapped in the house, with nothing to do at all.
Because usually when I come to this point, I think about food &
overeating. Of course now, I no longer have those options. But no
doubt, it’s not like I’m not thinking about food. Because I’m around
it everyday, smelling it, being around it. And it drives me TOTALLY
INSANE!!!!
I just wish that more doors would start opening for me. I hate being
so bored & depressed, without any energy whatsoever, etc. in life all
the time.
Thanx for letting me vent.

Now, since I can no longer go to food for comfort, I keep myself
active: swim, go walking, shopping (whenever I have the $$$),
dancing, listening to music, chat, play games, etc.

Tiff -
Have you lost 100 pounds since June 7 or were you required to lose before the
surgery? I am 10 weeks post op and still on the weak and tired side. I know
that when I make sure I get my protein and water in everyday, I do feel a
little better. Good Luck.

Just a little joke to cheer you up. One day at a time things will get better.
Just look at how far you have come. Maureen

I sent you this little cartoon about "mother goose and grimm" he ( grimm the
dog) is at a dog park, he asks the dog that has him by the neck what kind of dog
are you?-reply, I’m a terriar and bull mix. Punch line- that makes you
Terrible. Bad joke right. It looks better then it sounds. That probably goes
for you too. Keep up the good work. M

Well, I had the opportunity to lose weight before the surgery. I was
on a 1000 cal. diet, and exercised too. And betwween losing weight
naturally, and losing weight from the surgery, I’ve lost 100 lbs. all
together.
