my surgery date& Question

hello everyone,
I have only posted here once or twice because i’m not much for
working on computers so thats probly why you all haven’t heard much
from me but i just thought that i would let everyone know that i have
an surgery date which is on november 8th a couple of weeks before
thanksgiving and more weeks away from christmas and i was wondering
has anyone else had this surgery before the holidays. The reason im
asking that is because that is usely the time when i pig out and i
also do the cooking for the family. So how do you deal with that all
that food and sweets and see everyone enjoying there self and me not
eating or eating very litte of something else. Dont get me wrong i am
very much looking forward to having this surgery and can’t wait and
it seems a very long long time before i have it and i was just hoping
that someone has felt the same way and how do you handle it.
Thanks,

Mary ann

Dear Mary Ann: (Pepsi Momma), I have had the worry about having the surgery
and the family has been having a big meal at anytime and they will be gorging
themselves and I will be sitting there with a tiny little kiddie’s dixie cup of
    mashed potatoes or something.
I tell you something, at least I hope it goes this way. For right now just
think about how good you are going to look in June when the bathing suits come
out and you can where some shorts in public. And your family will not even
think about the fact that you had a dixie cup for a plate And, better yet when
you get on the scale and look in the mirror, you will know it was worth the
little dixie cup. As far as the cooking. I have cut down a lot on cooking
giantgantic meals on the holidays. My husband gets tired of the mess, no room
in the refrigerator, and since I haven’t been feeling well, my husband has
pitched in to help. Hint: Let him have his projects in the kitchen. And you
have yours. Don’t the two of you try to work on the same recipe, unless you
really like adventure. My daughter-in-law is an Exec. Secretary, is extremely

busy with that and has a 3 year old at home. I tell her and we both agree that
she makes a few low stress dishes and we make a few. My husband and son takes
turns everyother year making stuffing and baking the turkey. And Voila’
Thanksgiving Dinner! Another hint: It’s not about what is on the table,
it’s about who is at the table and if everyone has time to enjoy the season of
Giving Thanks. We even do buffet sometimes.
