? about Cigna

I was wondering if anyone can tell me about how well Cigna covers the
RNY in Virginia? I have never dealt with them before. I know that
they have to cover the RNY in VA, but I was wondering about how much
they will cover? Or if I will be stuck with a large bill…

    Hello Amy,

    I don’t know about Cigna personally (I have Blue Cross, which has
    been wonderful), but if you go to www.obesityhelp.com and click on
    Virginia on the map, then go to Insurers, you’ll find people’s
    experiences with all types of insurers in Virginia. I just looked,
    and there were several on Cigna, many positive.

    I’m also preop RNY (laparoscopic), surgery in mid-to-late October.
    Are you in northern Virginia?
