hi, new here :)
hello, my name is Tracy, but you can call me Tee. I am 28 years old
and live in Eastern North Carolina. I currently weigh 333 lbs. and
have failed at many diets, so surgery is my last hope. I am on the
waiting list for surgery in Greenville, NC, but it’s a long list, so
I guess I will have to wait patiently. I don’t get online much, so
I’ll post as much as I can and if there is anyone out there who lives
in Eastern NC, please email me. Hope to talk to you all soon!

Welcome Tee!
My name is Becca and I am a pre op waiting for surgery here in Oregon. It
has been a long road
but it is so worth the weight. I am 38 and considerably larger than you. You
have found a great
place to come while you wait. Everyone here is very nice and we all
understand where you are now.
Make yourself comfortable and we hope that you like it here!

Dear Kay,
I have not had surgery yet but as a mother of three sons I can tell you that
you are doing the best you can. If your son is in the hospital the doctors will
take care of him. You can just stick by your guns and do what you do best,
that’s make sure that he gets the best of care. You’ve been a thorn in these
peoples side on behalf of your kid you know whats best for him keep it up. Our
instinct tells us what we need to know to help our children. In the mean time
we can pray for his well being because it will help. Love,
Maureen

thanks for the encouragement. Dr. said today that he will keep him there on no
food or water until Monday. He is bummed out. H needs all the encouragement h
e can get right no as he is sort of wondering why he ever had this surgery. I
keep reminding him it was a matter of life or death. I understand him being down
right now.
I could not get up to see him today as I have some sort of bug and don’t want
too pass it on to him.
Thanks again for the encouragement, I need it as much as he does at this point.

Dear Kay/Mom:
Will you please give your son this message for me.
Dear Son of Kay:
#1 Your Mom has enough worry right now for 2 people. Even though you are sick
you don’t need to make it harder on her. Be glad you have a Mom that is alive
to worry about you. Mine left this world 12 years ago and I wish to God that
she was still here to talk to.
Sometimes in this life we make decisions that once we start down the path we
have chosen and we begin to stumble on some rocks. We start cursing ourselves
and questioning why we made the decision that has brought us down this road.
Think about how you were before. If you are like me, life can be miserable.
You couldn’t walk, you couldn’t play, you hated the beach, you feel like a pig.
That is why we all feel like crap all the time. We have no feelings of
self-worth. We are depressed and sometimes life just doesn’t seem like its
worth living.
But, think of it this way. You have climbed the mountain, you have gotten over
the worst part of the journey. But, sometimes when we think we are almost over
the ridge and everything is going to be downhill, we find out there is one more
small hill to get over before it becomes downhill. Have you ever looked at a
mountain range and seen the other mountains behind the one’s in front. That is
where you are. You have climbed the biggest mountain, but there’s one more you
have to get over. Now you need to bite the bullet, dig in your heels. You need
determination and you will make it. Is this something you want, or not. I know
you want it. I know you can do it. God is behind you. He is holding out his
hand to help you. Sometimes we just need that hand to hold onto till we gather
our strength. God has given you the opportunity for this gift, please accept it
and walk with it.
This time next year you will look back and wonder why you thought it was so
difficult. You will see the new you. You will be living your new life. My
Dad used to have this saying, and he used to repeat it occasionally to remind us
of our trials. "It’s not the mountains or the hills in life that slow you down,
its the pebbles in your shoes." THIS IS JUST A PEBBLE IN YOUR SHOE.
Through my Dad, I learned to love the mountains. So can you, they will make you
a better person. God Bless You and you Mom. God will keep you in his love.
In WLS Love,
Pat Cannon
