Throwing Up……….

Hey Everyone!

My name is Tiffany, and I’m 4 months post-op. In the beginning of my
diet, I’ve done very well. So far, I’ve lost 60 lbs. Which is great!

Now, I’ve been getting pretty depressed lately. I stick to my diet,
and have been exercising. But sometimes, I go over board with my
eating.

Today, I noticed how I ate a lil’ too much, and I actually threw up.
This was the second time I threw up. Don’t get me wrong, I do know
my limits with food. Today, I was a little under the weather. My
family and I planned on going to the beach today, and since I was
sick, I didn’t go. So I stayed home. There were a lot of cases when
I’ve felt isolated and left out. And it just makes me so d@mn

depressed. It even stresses me out too.

No one in my family knows that I’ve been throwing up. I’m just the
one who knows. I just wanna know if anyone else has felt this way
and has thrown up after their WLS? If so, what did you do?

Sometimes, I feel as if I can’t handle this whole new way of eating,
because I’m so depressed, lonely, and bored. And I get so tired as
well. Even when I’m doing my best to stay active so that I won’t
think about food. In the past, I had a terrible addiction with food
and binging. And I know I definitely don’t want to go back to that
after my WLS, and how much I’ve lost so much weight so far.

What should I do??? Has anyone gone through this same scenario?
Thanks!

    Tiffany,

Although I haven’t had wls yet, from what I’ve read,
throwing up isn’t abnormal after wls. As for the depression, I
sometimes think that psychologist/psychiatrists CAN help. Have you ever
thought about seeing a therapist to get to the root of why you’re
addicted to food? If I were you, I’d think about it because they can
provide some help and knowledge into your thought processes.
