		<description>Hello everyone,
Just thought that I would drop everyone a line, I am new to this
group and really just in search of a good online support group. I
live in Bellevue Nebraska. I am 33 yrs old. I had the open RNY on 7-
23-02..so I am a little over 2 months out, and have lost a little
over 50 pounds. I am not really pleased with my actual support group
here in the area. I started going there a few months before my
surgery and was doing ok, I stopped smoking about 2 weeks before my
surgery...but during the depression stage after the surgery, I
started smoking again. I know that this poses a health risk, but at
the time everything all at once was just to much for me. I pulled the
lady aside at the end of one of the meetings, her being a nurse, i
figured that I could ask her some questions about quitting when the
time came for me to start trying that. The following month I could
not remember what day the meeting was on so I called her. She flat
&lt;!--more--&gt;
out told me that she did not want me to be a member of the group
because i was a smoker, and that did not set a good example for the
others. She would not have even known that I was smoking again if I
had not pulled her aside, and none of the other members knew that I
smoked because I never done it around there. Needless to say this
hurt my feelings really bad. So I just need someone to make it thru
the rough times with, or share the &#34;happy dance&#34; times with. People
who know what i am going through. I guess that I feel like they dont
give this surgery to children, so its not like I am setting a bad
example for a child or something. I know that there are several
others in the group that smoke, cuz I always see them out there
smoking as I walk in for the meetings, but I am not going to say
anything to the lady because it would just cause the others to have
the same hurt feelings as me. I have some pics I would like to post
so everyone can put a face with a name....I hope to get to know some
of you really well..:o)
