Obesity surgery

I am going to be getting the lap band some time in the next few
months. I am kind of nervous but also very excited. I just feel
isolated because no one in my province does the surgery and I am
going to B.C. to have it done. Any of Dr. Leung’s patients on here??

Only 2 more days and I get my operation. YooHoo. Friday the 27th

Well gang this will be my last post for a while I
am getting ready to go to the city this morning, I
will stay with my g’friend untill Monday!! I have to
be at the hospital at 0530 a.m. on Monday and my
surgery starts at 0800 a.m.
Please say a little prayer for me that the surgery
goes well!!

I want to do something drastic to finally force myself to lose
weight. But I am really nervous. Does anyone have any advice that
would convince me to go ahead and get the surgery? I really need some
possitive reassuance. Thanks, Rene

I have been reading of late about getting ill after WLS due to large bits and or
not chewing long enough. Although I have get to have surgery I have been
planning what type of plates, silverware etc. I am going to use. I have several
3 oz. custard cups and several shot type glasses. I am going to put up some
"baby" flat wear so I can monitor the size of food I will be eatting. What do
you all think, is this the correct direction to go? I am a quick eatter now and
I know it will be hard to adjust afterwards.

Has anyone out there had surgery by any of the doctors in Milwaukee,
WI? If so, which ones. Can you share your experience? I am
learning so much from the web sites that I have gone to and from
reading all the e-mail I have been getting. Thanks.
