just wanted to pop in
Hello everyone,
I just finished reading all the posts for the past week. yea! It is nice to see
the group is growing. I am sorry to read about the sadness in many of your
lives. I am sorry I am not real good with names. Please know that I have sent a
prayer for each of you. (I do this as I read so as not to forget names)
I have been pretty busy over the last week and a half. I have fax-ed all the
additional information to the insurance com. (Aetna) now it is another waiting
game. It has been two weeks, I plan on calling them the first part of November.
Last week (Wed. Oct. 23rd) I has elbow surgery. It is keeping me from doing lost
of things. I went to the doctor yesterday (Oct.30) was able to get the half cast
off and stitches out. I was so excited I told my doctor "now I can pick up my
granddaughters" his reply was NO. He knows me very well. Now I will start PT
next week. I had asked my PT if he was ready to work on my elbow (I just
finished a pt on my right knee) — after a few minutes he said I should have a
body cast this way I would not injure myself and need any pt. He knows it is
hard for me to stay put and take it easy which makes the process longer.
Just one more thing before I go. The evening before my elbow surgery (Oct.22) my
wonderful husband –Harvey– was in a car accident on his way to Bible Study. (
I had to go to class for a finial so I was not with him) Someone turned in front
of him, there was no time to do anything. Infact he stopped about a 1/4 block
away from where the accident took place. Thanks to the Lord he was not hurt, our
truck is totaled but he is fine. The other car "ran away" right after did not
stop. The fire department was right there (it was just down the street), and
three police cars came. One officer told my husband the person in the other car
did not want to be talked to by the police. The office said he was either in a
stoled car, drugs in the car, or drunk. This is just one more item on our
plate.

Hi Everyone!
I saw my surgeon today and have lost 34 pounds since surgery and 70 pounds
since May of 2002. I am so glad that I had the band. My surgeon even said,
if you can believe this, that I am losing faster than average. I am finally
doing something that works for me. I did all the necessary research and I am
using it as the tool that it is intended to be.
Have a great day!
