Does anyone have a good liquid meal plan?

Thursday, June 16th, 2005

I am having the open RNY on wednesday and I received a meal plan from
Neweigh, but it is very confusing and I feel that I need to know what other
people ate and when? I do not want to go against my dr.’s orders just want a
better understanding.

Thanks,
Chrissy

Wednesday, June 15th, 2005

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven’t posted. Just getting everything ready for the surgery. i am
really getting nervous. I am off work starting today so I am thinking way
too much. I hope everyone is doing well and I will have my mom give updates
as we go. Next week I will start being more involved with the groups and be
able to be a support person for anyone who needs it. These groups have meant
so much to me and I am so glad to be part of them.

Wish me luck,

Hi everyone. My name is Tracy and I am hoping to have surgery
sometime in December. I was on the waiting list for surgery in
Greenville, NC until two weeks ago. Now I have had an EKG, chest x-
rays, and most of the pre-op bloodwork done. I have made an
appointment with a therapist, and a rehab center, and all thats left
is an appointment with a nutritionist. After all these appointments,
they will fax their recommendations to my doctor, who will then fax
it to the surgeon for review. If the surgeon thinks I am a good
candidate for surgery, all that is left is to schedule a surgery
date. The process shouldn’t take any longer than a month, my PCP
told me. When I signed up for the waiting list in Greenville, I was
told it would be over a year and now if all goes well, I will be
having it done in a month! Talk about life moving fast! lol

gab night.

Monday, June 13th, 2005

Hi! My name is Kristie and I am a new memeber to the group. I was
wondering if we could get a date and time set up to have a gab
session??…I would really appreciate the info. that everyone has to
offer. I have been looking into bariatric surgery for sometime now
and would like to get as much imput as I can. Any advice you have to
offer would help a great deal. If we can do this let me know the
time and date………Thanks a bunch!!

Insurance :-(

Monday, June 13th, 2005

Hi All,

I was supposed to call my insurance last friday (they received my
psych evaluation last Wednesday) to see if the surgery has been
approved or denied……well!

I have been calling since Friday at 11:30 a.m. and I get no people
only the little recorded voice that says "we’re on another line leave
your name yada yada yada". On Friday I called and left my name
twice….Monday 3 times, Tuesday about 6, yesterday about six and
today twice so far……

do you think that they will think I’m pushy and not call me?

I hate waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It Seems I Can’t Go Any Further With The Surgery/Diet…..What Shoul

Thursday, June 9th, 2005

Hey Everyone!

I have quite a bit of a problem here. Even though I’ve done so well
in the beginning post-op, it seems now that it’s getting harder and
harder. I’ve went from 397 down to 307 lbs. Now I’ve hit a
plateau. I’ve been really bored, depressed, and pretty angry about
life’s issues as well. I’ve experienced the dumping syndrome a few
times already. And I think my stomache has expanded. I’m afraid
I’ll be going back to my old eating habbits again.

Sometimes, I feel I should just get the surgery reversed, but then
I’m willing to just try again. My parents don’t know about me
experiencing the dumping syndrome, nobody knows.

I’m stuck home most of the time with nothing to do, bored &
