Lap Band

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me how there procedure with the lapband
went. Im considering it and had my 1st psych appt last night. I want
to know how the procedure went, the recovery and results if any…

    friend of mine will be having a lap band , she got a very good
    price here in southern california.

    Hi everyone, I have decided to have the lap band proceedure done. And my PCP
    has said okay, but she wants me to first compare surgeons. Could any of you
    recomend any surgereons that I could consider and present to my pcp? I am in
    the Dallas area. And let me know how satisfied you are with your lap band.

    Are you working with Insurance, Tina? If so, you need to consider
    those that are on your plan. That will make a BIG difference.

    Well, I’ve had a friend who done the lap band, and she said it’s not
    as fast as the gastric bypass, losing the weight that is. She said
    there are not as many risks as the gastric bypass, and I believe she
    said that the restrictions are not as harsh as the gastric bypass.
    From experience and being almost 3 months post op, I would rather
    have the gastric bypass, and the doctor for some reason may know
    that the band could be better for you and your health. Some people
    who have much more than just being over weight problems have more
    problems with the surgery itself. If your doctor really insists on
    having the lap band, just get the internet and find out more…go to
    web md or type in lap band, I’m sure it will give you something to
    go on. I know I didn’t give advice as much as you’d like but I hope
