I am so sorry about the several blank emails, I keep hitting the enter key and
of course the message is sent.
As you all know I finally got approval from Aetna for WLS and having trouble
with the assistant in my surgerons office getting back to me. I am no longer
going thru her, I am now in contact with the office manager. — The gaint
problem now is the doctor will be out of the country for the balance of this
month. Just to top it off our insurance carrier is changing as of January 2003.
– So I have to start all over again getting approval from the new insurance
carrier.
However the Best thing is that I am going to be a Grandma again this month, I am
looking forward to it. She will be our fifth grandchild (third granddaughter)

Hi Marie,
My name is Shelley I live in Monterey Area (45, married, 300#) and I have
been reading the posts regularly but I rarely post. I am in a similar
situation with the insurance, ours may change in Jan. too so I am really
hoping they can get approval and move my appt. up to Dec. It is currently
scheduled for Jan. 6. I am probably running out of time, they did have an
opening on the 23rd which would have me in the hospital on Christmas (doubt
if I can get approved that fast). My kids weren’t too thrilled with that
idea, my husband said they will deal with it, but at this point I’ll take
what I can get. I have done all of my pre-tests and my pre-op is on the
18th. Oh well hope all goes well for you and yours.
