<description>My personal opinion.....it is much too early for you to be eating
cereal!!!
You should still be doing really soft things. Make sure you let it get
really soggy if you're going to try it again. It was probably the milk
however. Milk intolerance is sometimes common after RNY. I got severe
cramping, diarrhea and bloating for over a year. I still don't have
much
milk now and I'm almost 3 years out. Milk (even skim milk) does have
lots
of sugar in it and a lot of people have reactions to that. The same
with
the eggs. Sometimes they can cause bloating and horrible gas pains.
This
could be what's happening. You will also find that there are some days
you
&lt;!--more--&gt;
may be able to have something and the next day you'll feel terrible
after
eating the same thing. It's a lot of trial and error in the first
several
months. Just go slow...you don't need to rush into trying too many
things...that way it's harder to figure out what is causing the problem
when
something like this happens. I hope you're feeling pretty good other
than
these couple of incidents. It does get better soon, it just takes a
while
for your new tummy to adjust. I don't understand the arm tingling thing
though. If you're ever in doubt, make sure you call your doctor. Keep
us
posted on how you're doing.
Hugs,
Judi

I am 3 weeks post-op (RNY) and 3 days ago had severe cramping,
diarrhea, vomiting (although nothing was there to come up), and
tingling along my arms (felt truly awful) shortly after eating some
Special K cereal. Today I had the same thing (only less severe) after
eating some mashed hardboiled egg (NO SUGAR!!!)
Is this &#34;dumping&#34;? The Special K does have some sugar in it. I have a
spastic colon and am wondering if I am dumping or if my colon is
still adjusting from the surgery, or .....? Anyone had this before?
Thanks
