Got a date
Hi Everyone,
I have been to a few meetings, been researching for quite awhile and
finally have an official date. At first they had me in Jan. on the
6th but I found out that our ins. might be changing so I checked to
see if they had any Dec. appts. left. I had taken care of all my pre-
op testing. I was approved by the insurance on Monday and I just
found out this evening that they could move it to Dec. 20th NEXT
FRIDAY. Talk about moving right along. I have one week to be ready
for Christmas and surgery glad I am almost done. I’ll be home for
Christmas though, there may not be too much cooking going on but I’ll
be home with my kids starting my new life.

HI! My name is Michelle also and I am scheduled for
Dec. 20 for a RNY. I hope he doesn’t confuse us!
Maybe we will see each other in recovery.
My biggest concern is whether I will be up to spending
time with family. I will want to celebrate but I’ve
never had surgery (except for wisdom teeth and
labor)so I have no idea what to expect from the
anesthesia.

Michele,
You’re giving yourself the best Christmas present you could ever have. I
know this probably isn’t the absolute best time to be planning a surgery,
but, in the Almighty plan of things, this is YOUR
time…….congratulations. You are on your way!!
Hugs,

Hi Michelle,
Wow the 20th will be our new birthdays. Will you be at CHOMP? Who is your
Dr.? I have only had one other surgery and I am nervous but very confident
that all will go well. If you are at CHOMP maybe we will walk some laps
together.

If you’re having it lap, you’ll be fine for Christmas - although a bit
tired. If you’re having it open, you may still be in the hospital.

Yeahhhhhhh Michelle!!! 2 Michele’s on the same day…..how great is that!!
You will do just fine for Christmas…..probably a bit tired and not able to
eat much Christmas dinner, but you’ll have your family around you and that’s
the best part of Christmas anyway. By the time the day is
over……Christmas is done with until next year, but you will be already on
your way to a much healthier and happier you for many many more days and
months to come. You’ll be much happier and healthier next Christmas.
You’ve given yourself the best present anyone could ever give you. Big hugs
my friend…..Congratulations on your date!!
Hugs,
Judi
