What doctor told you that you would not be healthy?? You need a new doctor. I was banded, which I would recommend over the RNY, just 3 days ago and I feel fine. Of course there is some pain involved in the surgery process, but it is nothing compared at the pain of carrying a body twice the size it should be. I personally know 4 people oher than myself that have had the surgery and NONE would go back and not have it. You will have a lot of mixed feelings and hear a lot of different opinions from people when they find out what you are aspiring to do, but you just have to keep your head up and think about the lon term.
