Yolanda,
You are doing the the "oposite" of what you should be doing…you are
undermining your surgery.
Get off the carbs…up your protein intake. Don’t count calories, get out of
the habit of watching the scales, they only will create undo stress on you
emotionally.
With the water that you are taking in (which I think is rather a lot for the
size of your new pouch), and your exercise, your body’s metabolism has gone into
"survival" mode and has become more efficient at converting any and all possible
carbs in your diet into fat storage for survival, as it believes that your body
is being deprived of essential nutritents….plateau(s) are common, however, as
long as you stay on your current cycle, you will not see any significant
progress.

Thanks for your reply Bob. I went to see my Surgeon on Monday for a
chck up he said that everything was going great, I’m only 12lbs from
his goal. He insisted that I up my water intake to oz per day
because when I exercise I perspire so much and that I should be
putting the water back in me that i’m loosing by sweating. When I
talk about carbs I am refering to breads, pasta, and rice not sugar
and chips. I don’t eat anything like with sugar in it or anything
fried. I follow all rules that have been given to me by my Surgeon
and dietician but the scale just isn’t moving. I only check my
weight once every 2 months, but when it doesn’t move this is very
upsetting. I’m sure I’m not the only person that feels this way. I
am desperately trying to loose 30 more pounds by May 17 which is my
wedding day. If anyone has any thoughts or comments please voice
them.
Have a blessed day!
