Prayers and Good Thoughts

Hello everyone–

I haven’t posted here for a while, but I do have a prayer
request. I am unable to have wls (at least for now) because I have a written
exclusion in my insurance policy. I have found that they will approve a breast
reduction and a
panniculectomy if medically necessary, and so, I am having those
procedures done this Friday at about noon.

I just ask that as you go through your prayer lists for the next few days,
please add my name to the list, and pray for a quick and complication-free
recovery for me.

I would really appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers you can send my
way–

Hello teri, and good luck with your breast surgery, I had it done years ago
and would do it again in a drop of a hat!! My prayers are with you and you
will be fine….sore but fine. If you want to ask me anything go right ahead
    and e-mail me. Take Care.

Ok can someone tell me who all these people are that
are advertising to us and not supporting us? We have
all decided or are in the process of deciding who do
these people think they are we are here to support not
advertise for our own gain. Just a little thought.

These are the same people that send an average of 250 emails a day to me
that I throw away. The same people that call you at dinner time every
night, and the same people who put flyers on your car at the mall. Sadly
there is little that can be done to stop them beyond closing
registration to the group and moderating all posts.

I can’t speak for Pam but as a resident of Niceville I think she would
agree that we don’t want to do that. This group is supposed to be open
for all who have news, questions, want support, or want to give support
to those of us who are in some way involved in WLS.

I agree with Jason. Obvious spammers we can remove and ban if they’ve hung
around, but usually they’re hit and runners, and we don’t know about it
until we read the same message you’ve read. I’m not surprised that someone
might tell us about another group - I’ve seen that happen on other lists -
and the groups have been pertinent to our experiences - like the
ossg-protein group or the ossg-vitamin-minerals group. This one was…
    marginal - I admit.

    Hi, Gloria…. I agree with you completely! <G> And I don’t know
that "these people" understand our situation, or even care. I’ve spoken with
Jason, and we’ve decided to set up a situation that should eliminate these
kinds of emails from the list. Newcomers will be moderated for a bit until
we are sure they’re not spammers. Since I’m on the list several times a day
it should not delay messages from coming on more than a couple of hours at
worst, and oldtimers will not be affected.
