I am wondering if anyone has information regarding canadian resources
and surgeons… or links that I can check out that are canadian
based..?? I am hoping to go through WLS and am still trying to
decide on the best type of surgey.. But I need to find a surgeon in
my area.. ottawa Ont….

had my surgery last monday, open rny, got home on thursday,
everything went great! just have 2 problems, sleep and gas, any
suggestions?

I really need your help with a few things. I’ve been having
difficulty dealing with my diet, weight loss, and my life itself.

It just seems like everything is "non-ending". And it’s really
stressing me out! It pi$$es me off how I can’t actually eat like I
used to, and when I do, I for sure regret it a lot afterwards.
Everybody gets on my case about it of course. I even cry at times.
I’m still keeping up with my exercising (even though at times I don’t
want to do it). I’m constantly fatigue and tired.

I’ve had the Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Surgery. The highest weight
I’ve been was 550 lbs. Before the surgery, I had the opportunity to
get down to 397 lbs. I went in for surgery in June 2002 @ 397 lbs.
Now, I’m down to 260 lbs.

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know Ive escaped
the hospital..* without a morphine pump I’m sad to report…lol. I felt kinda
lousy the first day home, but since I believe I have improved everyday. The pain
is leveling out to where I truly only need one percocet for sleeping. The rest
of the time..i just rest, eat my cute little portions that my five year old has
deemed…" itsy bitsy mama bowl" ..lol..she thinks it’s cool she can eat more
than me now. lol. My three year old after being told NOT to touch mama’s tummy
thought it was a new made up game..and decided to touch my arm, then my leg, and
when i said they didn’t hurt he slammed me with both hands on my stomach and
said.."GOTCHA",,," I WIN" .. after gaining my composure..i assurred him by
showing him my boo-boo’s that I was really hurt..he then wanted to have a boo
boo competition and we sat for a good half hour finding all his boo-boo’s…*
he’s a cute booger! I came home thursday afternoon., and I have finally managed
to sneak downstairs to use the computer..but I’m getting tired again..So after I
do a load of laundry, clean the downstairs….lol..just kidding..I’m going to

I was wondering how bad I can expect the scarring to be fom the open
RNY. Anybody have any before and after pics?

Talked to Erin last night, and she’s back home from the hospital and sounded
a lot better! There’s just something about being in your own bed, and
having your husband fixing your food <G>. She’s upstairs and the computer
is downstairs, so it may be a bit before she gets back onlist, but sends her
