I’m bacckkkk
Hello Everyone, I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know Ive escaped
the hospital..* without a morphine pump I’m sad to report…lol. I felt kinda
lousy the first day home, but since I believe I have improved everyday. The pain
is leveling out to where I truly only need one percocet for sleeping. The rest
of the time..i just rest, eat my cute little portions that my five year old has
deemed…" itsy bitsy mama bowl" ..lol..she thinks it’s cool she can eat more
than me now. lol. My three year old after being told NOT to touch mama’s tummy
thought it was a new made up game..and decided to touch my arm, then my leg, and
when i said they didn’t hurt he slammed me with both hands on my stomach and
said.."GOTCHA",,," I WIN" .. after gaining my composure..i assurred him by
showing him my boo-boo’s that I was really hurt..he then wanted to have a boo
boo competition and we sat for a good half hour finding all his boo-boo’s…*
he’s a cute booger! I came home thursday afternoon., and I have finally managed
to sneak downstairs to use the computer..but I’m getting tired again..So after I
do a load of laundry, clean the downstairs….lol..just kidding..I’m going to
plant my butt on the couch for a nice nap! Hope everyone is doing well, I missed
my group..and in closingThank you to my wonderful Angel Pam who called and
worried herself unnecessarily over little ol me.. I felt so very special when
she called..I can’t tell everyone how nice it is to hear a friendly voice..if
they do nothing but listen to you ramble on ,, and on .. and on…lol. She was
fantastic..and I’m going to be an angel for someone just because of the
experiance I had with Pam! ~ Erin Scheck…IM A LOSER!!!!!

Hey
I’m not busy with outdoors and such…I started my first summer
‘fun’ class so I’ve been busy with that. Gotta love Constitutional Law.
(and no that’s not sarcasm, it really is a blast. I’m odd, I admit it.)
I didn’t have much use for the chapstick, I guess I didn’t get dehydrated
with all the fluids that were being pumped into me. But do *not* forget
your own toothbrush and toothpaste, that hospital stuff just doesn’t cut it.
(I forgot mine…lol) Oh yeah, and I took a book, although every time I
started to read, I’d end up with a dose of something that made me sleepy so
would end up asleep.
I can also recommend taking a cute pair of slippers (I took green frogs
holding a big ol’ daisy) because it’s a nice conversation starter and it may
cheer you up when you hear kids talking about your slippers (when you’re
walking the hallways.)
Take yourself a good comfy pair of clothes to wear on your way home too.
(Clothes that will go straight from the hospital to the car to the bed.)
Relax! Enjoy the 24-hour room service! And USE the 24-hour room service.
*grin* You’ll do fine and be fine, hon.
*hugs* ‘n *smooches*

Chapstick..yes! And, I was VERY thirsty regardless of fluids -keep those ice
I brought
chips coming. Make sure your slippers are easy to walk in - you need to be up
and walking every hour - even if you don’t feel like it. Make sure the clothes
you bring to wear home are loose, soft, comfy (no tight waist bands) You will
likely be puffy from all the fluid. Don’t be alarmed if you actually gain
weight in the hospital - I literally gained 20 pounds! It was all fluid and
gone within a week, but I felt like a big puffy ball - more so than I did
usually, HA! My doctor said they used 10 quarts of fluid during my procedure -
hence the severe bloating. Not painful or anything, just kinda wierd. It may
not happen to everyone - I might have been one of the lucky few.
books & magazines but never touched them - the morphine & vicodin kept my
attention span pretty small. I think I watched T.V. but I don’t remember it.
Follow your doctors orders and make sure you keep your breathing exercises up -
I didn’t and I ended up coming down with pneumonia. They really mean it when
they tell you to keep moving and do your breathing exercises. Good luck!

with the staff and their professionalism. I was there watching others coming in

little nervous but I am very much looking forward to being on the losing side.
Okay Anita it’s you and me in 7 days!!!!!!
P.S. Thanks to everybody for all the great tips!!!!
