One step closser to being a LOSSER

Well, after two months of waiting, I finally got to see my surgeon on
6/10/03. Prior to this appointment, I had my PCP write a referral as
well as my other doctors. I also had the dreaded psych evel (very
painless). The next hurdle is the insurance authorization. This
should take three to four weeks. Next step is to make arrangements
for the surgery. Looking somewhere in the neighborhood of late
August or September 2003.

Can not wait to join the lossers club.

Well, I have to take one step back. My insurance company denied the
operation. I was informed of this Friday evening and will be calling
them on Monday to find out why and what the procedure is to appeal
the decision. Every medical professional thet I have talked to say
that I am a prime candidate for this type of surgery.

I guess the people sitting behind the desks did not feel that way.

I am not upset about this decision as I was informed that they
usually deny the first request and you have to go through the appeal
process. I guess it is one more step to make sure that you really
    want to have the surgery.
