just surfing another site and saw this link

Had surgery 03/11/03 RNY — all is going well with the exception of
hair loss. Did get it cut yesterday and stylists said it was looking
healthy though. Did by the nexus Vitra Tress biotin shampoo, creme
and vitamins thought it couldn’t hurt. ……

    Hair loss between months 3 and 7 is pretty common - and there have been a lot
    of reasons suggested. Surgery trauma, anesthesia, too many hormones dumped
    from the fast weight loss, etc. A number of people I know take biotin in the
    vitamin form and also use a biotin shampoo, like nioxin.
