Obesity surgery

I want to join you support group to help me lose the weight i already had
surgery I just want you guys to help me and support me if you can

Has anyone tried the protein nectars/shakes blended with ice, served
over
crushed ice or frozen? I was just wondering if that would be like a
slush
or icee. I’m still in the researching stage but am creating a file of
recipes and tips for post-op.

I have a doctor appointment with a surgeon on Monday to look into the
possibility of having weight loss surgery. I personally know of 4
people
who have had it and all are doing really well. I feel at this stage
in my
life this is what I need to do for me!

Hey everyone
Wanted to post and talk about upcoming surgery. I finally got approved and
my surgery date is set. Now, what do I do? My nerves are somewhat
intacked. My daughter had the surgery in March of 2002 and she has lost
over 220 lbs. She looks great and is happier then I have ever seen her. I
have about 180 to lose and I have seen what she has gone through this year.
Most of it good, but alot of work. She is totally into it. She follows all the
rules
and it shows. I am just hoping I can be as sucessfull. Please anyone, post
and let me know how far out of surgery you are and what is was like in the
months that followed your surgery.

Hi all… Well here I am again with even better news.. The surgeon called today
and they have move my surgery date UP…. yes sooner.. I am now scheduled to go
to the other side on August 25… Yea… thanks for all your messages.. joy

Question? What tests are performed before the surgery? I’m going
through a series of tests and I’m not sure if they are going to so
surgery or not but I told my doctor that is what i need to get health
becuase my metabolism is shot to you know where. So I was wondering
if someone know’s: I think he’s getting some general test’s out of
the way to make sure I’m a canadate for the surgery or not. I know I
am over 100lbs bmi 43, I just wish they could get it over already -
need this surgery like yesterday how long would all the tests take to
complete - say a good month before surgery?? I want this surgery so
bad - but went for a test today and the building had a fire in it
where I was suppose to have it done. Now have to go back another
day / my boss is going to kill me, I know there are more test to do
and more time off work- how will I ever get through this…
