Consider your life without the surguery and then consider you life after. I had my surgery on Aug 12th 2003. To date I have lost 55 pounds and feel great. I am wearing some of my older suits and my daughters view of me is as a hero for doing what I did. It is your decision, but I can tell you from my experience the Dr. and all of the staff in my hospital were rooting for me. They had positive feelings about this tyoe of surgery and that made it alll the more better for me. I am now fully back to work and life is going well, for a change. My medications are reduced and I no longer have painful feet at night. Good Luck —
