Yesterdays’ meeting was well attended and very informative. The group was
composed of pre and post op people. The pre-op patients were able to gain a lot
of information since they were taking notes.
The post ops all look amazing. It is wonderful to see less of everyone each
month. I never amazed by the joy everyone has when they speak about the weight
loss journey.
Lorraine always has many great stories about her post op experiences and they
are enjoyable and enlightening. The glow Lorraine has is contagious. All of us
have many different issues that we deal with. It is just not about weight loss.
A new member Eric attended the meeting and he is truly inspirational. Prior to
surgery Eric was on oxygen (proof was in the picture he shared with everyone).
Now Eric has a life. He took a bus and a train to attend the meeting. That is
real dedication to help other people as well as himself.
I would also like to speak about the dedication of the group. Two people are
having surgery soon. As soon as that was announced, business cards with phone
numbers were given, offering support. "Call me anytime you need me. Here is my
cell phone. I will visit you in the hospital." If that is not support for
people then explain to me what is.
The internet meetings are coming soon. I just have finish off several tasks and
I can set a date. I am targeting the last week of the month.
If anyone has any questions please ask. You have a great resource of concerned
people to help with your questions. Never be shy to ask a question, if you are
thinking about a question, someone else is also. So ask we learn from each
other.
We really have a strong nucleus for a successful group. I can only hope that we
all become time losers and our dreams become reality.
