So how many grams of sugar is okay in protein drinks?

I can’t find any protein drinks without sugar. Can you suggest some to me.
I also have been prescribed pain medicine in a syrup form. Isn’t that with
sugar?
I also thought soy milk would be a good source of protein. Is there any without
sugar?
How about those chewable vitamins…they have sugar.
Will just a little sugar be okay? What have people experienced with these
items?
I want to be prepared for after my surgery. My surgery date is November 24th.
I need to do some shopping. Maybe someone can suggest a good shopping list for
me.
Thanks,
Melva

Oh, and while I’m at it, the drinks from Vitalady.com - you can order
them in sample sizes so that you can taste to see if you like them.
They come in single serving sample sizes. Mix each baggie with 4-6 oz
of water (I like 6, and will add a little splenda if it needs a bit of
extra taste) and a couple of cubes of ice.

    On my counter I have

Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana Scream,
    Cocoa Moccachino

Nectar Carribean Cooler (their Green apple is like a tart apple)

    5+1 Banana Cream Pie

Scitech Protein Delight in Strawberry White Chocolate, Raspberry
Yoghurt, Lemon Cheesecake, Alpine Chocolate, Vanilla Pineapple

(they make a thicker drink with little pieces of fruit in them)

I mix all these with water and ice and hit with a hand blending stick.
    For me, Yum.
