I was back to work in 3 weeks (I have a desk job, so I don’t do any heavy
lifting). I would have been back sooner, but I came down with pnuemonia 5 days
after my surgery.
In terms of hair loss: As Pam mentioned, it’s very important to get in all your
protein and vitamins to prevent this as much as possible. I started losing some
hair after about 3 months, but it was not enough for anyone else to notice, I
just noticed it in the sink and shower and my hairbrush.
For the record, I would also do it again in a heartbeat.
Good luck in your decision making process!
