I think the best answer to this is "it depends" - I’ve known people who, when
they upped their protein drinks, lost weight. I’ve also known people who are
heavily into carbs, and upping their protein drinks did not help them lose
weight. I’ve known people who insist on doing them wiht milk and don’t lose
    weight. It all depends.

Question: What do you mix your protein with if you don’t use milk or soy
    milk……?

Haven’t found many here in MN that mix well with water or other liquids

Water, SF tang, crystal lite. - usually just water.

I found NONE locally that tasted decent. I ended up buying mine from
    www.vitalady.com - or www.netrition.com - I like vitalady because she’s been
through the same things we have and has the kind of protein that is the best
for us, a wealth of knowledge, and is happy to share her knowledge with us.
Also, she sells samples, which means you don’t have to buy a whole container
    before you make a decision.
