EGGS & PLATEAU
When you guys and gals eat eggs do you eat the whole egg or just the white? I
am having the hardest time finding out much protein is in ONLY the white…Im
having a hard time getting my protein and water the last 3 days and I
everything I eat ALMOST comes back up but simply because I don’t want it and in
my
mind it makes me nausuas..Does that make sense???
Also, would not getting in my water and protein cause a stop in weight loss??
Its been about 6 days since I have lost anything..I usually only weight once
a week but this week I don’t even feel like I have lost anything so I broke
down and weighed…

Personally, I’m not so sure that we get much of any of the protein that we eat
in meats and eggs and protein foods, because the part of the stomach where
most of the digestion is done has been bypassed. I put a chart up in the files
section that show what is bypassed (for those of us who have a bypass). We
all go through plateaus every so often, where we don’t lose. It’s not
uncommon. Usually start around 3 weeks out, but I’ve heard of them happening
earlier.

There are about 2 grams of protein in an egg white and 4 grams in the yolk.
They are very hard to digest. If you do not get in enough water for YOUR body
your metabolism will slow down. Everyone does not get all 64 oz in everyday.
I know if I did I would be in bathroom every 5 min! Good to have egg
substitutes ESP for scrambled. Reg. egg yolks are very hard on your new pouch
(from
my experiences). Now I can eat a whole hard cooked egg, in pieces of course. I
am 15 mos. post and still have trouble getting all the needed proteins.
Peanut butter and nuts are also good sources of protein. And you will have
plateaus every so often. sometimes a little more exercise helps get it going
again.
I am also "stuck." I have 40lbs to reach goal and am having an awful time
losing it. I am currently laid off and will return next also the company has
put
a fitness center right in my building where I work so this will be even more
convenient. Goodluck and keep posting, we’ll help you get through the rough
spots. Susan
