Update on me-7 weeks out!
Hi Everyone,
Well as of Friday I am 7 weeks out and doing pretty weel. I finally had a full
week with no aches or pains and felt great. So I feel ready to really get into
my exercising. For the past few weeks I have put it off because something was
causing a pain in my side. I thought it might of been a hernia because it was
consistant for about a week. So I took it easy and luckly it went away. Just
must of been my nerves reconnecting.
I am doing pretty well with most foods. I tried aspargus a few days ago and it
didn’t stay down. Then I tried catfish, small bit just to taste and it didn’t
stay down. The first two foods that I have had real trouble with. I am doing
pretty well with my protein. Fish and chicken seem to be my staple diet lately.
Lots of salmon and shrimp. Im so glad they stay down. And I perodically do a
protein shake but they are hard for me. Im trying different stuff in order to
find one I can take.
Today I plan on starting swimming. I started a few weeks ago but with the pain
I stopped because I didn’t want to over do it. But I am ready to get back into
it now and excited too. My weightloss has platuea for the past few weeks so I
know its time to jump start it again. Anyways, hope everyone is doing good.

I’m Gerri and about 4 wks. POP. Glad to hear your feeling better. I know the
feeling about the pain in the side. I was worried about it but I guess it’s
just our bodies trying to recover. I have good days and not so good. It seems
like if I do alot of walking it will start bothering me. Don’t do to bad with
food. But, the protein just doesn’t agree with me. I’ve tried wiating a few
days and trying it again but it still upsets my stomach. When did you start
exercising ? Daily walks are about all I’ve been doing. Need to get back in
the swing cause I’ll be going back to work soon. According to my scale I’ve
lost 25lbs. Not sure if that’s good or not. Sometimes I feel like I’m not losing
fast enough. I may not be able to see it yet but it’s good to know that the
weight is starting to come off. Keep up the good work.

Hi geri,
I understand what you mean about the walking. Thats exactly what was happening
to me. But sometimes the longer I walked the better I felt. Try that and see
if its the same for you. I haven’t really been exercising. I walked
perodically, daily walks like you when I wasn’t in pain and I start swimming but
didn’t contine because the pain wouldn’t stop. Now the I feel well I plan on
swimming or walking at least 4 times a week…hopefully everyday if I can get it
in. My weightloss has plateau so another reason I really want to exercise
because I know it will help pick it back up again.
About your weightloss, you are doing great. I also thought that I wasn’t losing
as fast as I thought I would but then I realized I can’t compare myself to
anyone else and on what other diet that I have been on, did I lose 40 lbs in
under 2 months…so 25 in one month is great. Think of it that way and you will
know what ever your doing, you are on the right track. Hope you get better
everyday.
