waiting for answer

hi everyone.
i havent posted for a while but read everything being posted. what a
great help. thanks to all. i have had all my pre-visits with drs.
now am just waiting for insurance to say ok. i had already talked to
my insurance and they said that they would pay . they just needed all
the packet from dr. does anyone know the time it will take . im sure
it varies from one company to another. also i know it is bad to
smoke. so im now 9 days with out. has anyone kept smoking throught
the surgery. i know most drs. want you to quit weeks before. thanks
for all the support .

    They want you to stop smoking because it makes it so much more
    difficult with the anesthesia. So it’s a good thing you’ve stopped
    smoking. I know a lot of doctors will refuse to do surgery on
    someone who is still smoking. You might call your insurance and see
    if they’ve received the packet from the doc. Those packets can get
    mislaid. A lot of insurance companies say they need a month to
    approve, but if the packet is mislaid, it could take longer. Good
    luck with your surgery!
