Post Op pain in leg
Hi, I am 2 weeks post op, have been taking it easy and am doing
great. I have the hint of a charlie horse in the back of one of my
legs. Is this common? I was thinking it was just from spending so
much time off my feet. Does anyone know the symptoms for blood
clots and how far after surgery they might occur?
I welcome your responses.
Thanks, Shay Tigner

Shay, on and off I’ve had charley horses - but I’ve had them when
I’ve changed my diet to high protein in the past. You might check
with your PCP. It could be an imbalance in your potassium or
calcium, others have used quinine pills or even diet tonic water (a
glass of it before bed) to help. Meantime, be sure you’re getting
your walking in, and if you’re worried, again, call your PCP.

Hello shay, my name is Betty I had surgery nov 17th
2003. When I woke up from surgery I had leg cramps
really bad. The nurse rubbed the cramps out. It was
caused because I was dehydrated. I am afraid of
getting dehydrated again, because it is hard for me to
drink enough water. I can’t seem to get enough in.
anyway thought i would share what happened to me with
you, Thank you all for the support!
