Hello, my name is Betty, I had gastric bypass nov 17th
2003 I read in a magazine that a man had gastric
bypass and they put a band around his stomach so that
it couldn't stretch. Is that what they did to me? I
had the regular gastric bypass rny. Thank you, and
best wishes to you all. Betty

		<description>One of the reasons for walking, too, is to help avoid blood clots.
You can also help this by doing little circle exercises with your
feet and ankles while you're resting. This doesn't take the place
of walking, just assists, or adds to.

Alex, glad to hear your doing great. I had 4o staples and getting
taken out was a breeze. I had 2 nurses one started at the botton
and the other at the top. Your right about using the little
breating machine, it is a great way to note your progress. Walking
&lt;!--more--&gt;
while difficult needs to happen, start slow and work up. You will go

through many healing stages, be prepared for little surprises.
Hope you hit your goal and enjoy your new life. I also had an open
RNY.
