Getting surgery on March 31st
My surgery is scheduled for March 31st in Boston. There has been alot
of Media attention in Massachusetts for deaths related to the
surgery. I am very nervous and have alot of questions. How did
everyone get through this with out thinking the worst?

I obsessed about my Plastic Surgery. Had no problems with the GBS. I also
knew that I had done my research, and that my surgeon was excellent and so I
was at peace with that.

Like Pam, I made sure I did my homework and went to a surgeon who specializes in
the RNY and has an excellent track record. I also looked at the
alternative…living trapped inside my prison of fat and risking death from
obesity related causes. There was no question for me…the minute I left the
first orientation at my Dr’s office, my mind was made up - even after they
discussed the risks.
