HI Everyone,
I am out almost 3 months from my surgery and I think this is the first time I
have needed help. All this talk about what we should and shouldn’t be eating
has got me thinking about what I eat and how long it takes me sometimes. I have
to admit, I haven’t been really concentrating on lowfat or nonfat foods. I
think mostly because during this period, I m just trying see what works for me
and what doesn’t. I am talking about cheese, peanut butter, although i do eat
lowfat cottage cheese. One of the things I have noticed though is that I
automatically eat lowfat anyways. When I get a salad when I got out, I get
ranch but I don’t pour it on my salad. I dip my fork and taste it with each
bit. Good trick to know because I end up eating only a 1/4 of what I normally
would. If that. Also, I don’t get pasta with cream sauces because they don’t
work well with me. Matter of fact, I don’t get pasta at all. I like some people
have had problems with chicken so I have moved to pork and

sorry the first one was a mistake. i am new to this although i have
been reading the messages for quite sometime now. i have learned quite
abit from reading your messages. i am now abit confused. i am in the
pre op testing stage. i have had bloodwork,echocardiogram,abdominal
ultrasound,psych eval and now i need to see nutritionist and
pulmonary md… my problem is my pcp will not refer me for this
surgery. i have heard the surgeon will not operate unless he gets
referral from him. i think that my pcp would not refer anyone for
wls. then i hear that the pulmonary md. is the main person i need to
be cleared by has anyone run into this cuz i am confused. i have
gotten results from echo and of course i am now on b/p meds and have
gallstones according to ultrasound. i have been going through the
process since the beginning of december . i would appreciate anyones
thoughts on this. thank you Terry
My surgeon told me i could take tums for my calcium…but isnt that
carb….not citrate??
I have heard soo much about us not being able to absorb calcium carb…is
there a website or something about this?
Also, I have been taking the bariatric advantage supplements but am looking
for something "cheaper"..Anyone have any suggestions for mulitvitamin, b12 and
calcium chewables??? that are cheap??? if so where do you get them??

Ok. I know I was not supposed to weigh again till tuesday but old habits die
hard…Before I thought about what I was even doing I was on the scale….And
to my surprise I am down even more…WOOHOO…When I weighed Thursday night I
was at an even 300…my first mini goal was to be under 300…wellllll Check
out the stats below…LOL

Its been almost 5 years since I had a 2 in front of my weight…LOL
Thanks for all the advicel.. I got my samples in today of nectar and whey
fruity…well i tried the strawberry kiwi for lunch and the fruit punch whey
fruity for super…they were AWESOME!! (compared to what i have been drinking)
Tomorrow morning for breakfast I am gonna try mixing the chocolate stuff with
water instead of milk. I started tonight back excerising the way i was before
the plateau and all HECK broke loose at my house. I did the treadmill for 15
minutes, Bike for 15 minutes then walked the driveway 1 mile! Not sure how long
that took.I think about 10 minutes….so I am back up to 40 continueous minutes
and i REFUSE to slack off. Its hard because I live 45 minutes from the
nearest gym…I can at least go to my moms and get the bike and treadmill but I
know
I will soon need more. We are actually thinking of moving so that I can be
closer to the gym and it would also benefit my husband because it would be
closer to his work….soooo we will see…I decided to weigh at moms which is
