3 1/2 month update!

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

well just a little update. I had surgery 3 1/2 months ago on Nov 18th, 2003.
I started out at 365 pounds in a tight 30/32 elastic waist pants. I am now
down to 275 pounds and in a comfortable 26 button waist pants. I am able to eat
ANYTHING with no problems. Including sugar and fried foods. But I watch what I
eat Very Carefully!! I have been really slacking on the exercise and know I
need to get that started back up. Its really hard. I know thats no excuse
but…I babysit from 6am to 7pm then cook supper, bath my 3 year old, spend a
little time with hubby and daughter before putting her to bed..spend a little
time
with hubby..then he is off to bed and i get on the computer to work my second
job which is building websites and making web banners. I know…Thats NO
EXCUSE. I have no room in my house for any time of equipment and i live 35-40
minutes away from the nearest facility. I even bought a tape and cant get that
into
the day either…LOL But I will HOPEFULLY be able to stop the day

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

thanks so much for all the good words about my up coming date. the
filter they are putting in is called a greenfield filter. it will be
put in the week befor i have surgery.it is used on people who have a
bmi larger then 50 or if they had trouble with swelling and and blood

Health Alliance

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Hello,
I just finished up my 6mth supervised diet plan with pcp. This was a
requirement from health alliance. Now all my paperwork will be sent
to the insurance on March 8th. My question is I have lost about
17lbs with the supervised diet. I was 312 to start and now and
around 295. Does anyone know is health alliance now going to turn on
me and say you can lose weight on your own you don’t need the
surgery? I just don’t know what to prepare myself for. Any help
would be grateful.
Thanks,
Diana

I am doing a research class in my degree program and need to get
some answers from anyone that will help me out. I won’t be using
any names so don’t worry that you will be giving information that
others may see. This survey is how people felt before surgery. .
Please answer the following questions in this manner so that I may
collect accurate information for my report. SA, A, D, SD, or DA, at
the end of each stated sentence.

I just wanted to say, thank you for the warm welcome. It has been 2
days since I have contacted my doctor about the referral, I know he
is real busy, so I will give him until this coming Wednesday, then
I’ll refresh him again. My doctor has told a few times in earlier
visit to him, that I was a candidate for the surgery, so I am hoping
that he will keep those words he said earlier true. How did any of
you get in touch with a doctor who preforms this type of surgery?
Did you just contact a hospital or did the doctor refer you? Sorry,
but I have alot of questions. What am I expected to do after the
referral? Thanks, Ed
