Update- 6 Months

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Hello Everyone,

Its been a few months since I updated. I am doing good. Down 97lbs since
surgery and felling great. Everything is going good. I have been exercising
but looking to start a gym so I can start building muscle. Eating is okay but I
still have times when i react to something and usually its something I have
eaten before. Guess I am still getting use to things. Over all i fell like I
am on the right track for the most part. I have been eating protein and veggies
but I have also been eating some carbs. Trying to create a balance with a
concentration on protein. Its been hard sometimes because there are things I
can’t have or realy don’t want to have. Maybe more miss then anything. I am
feeling okay about though, not feeling deprived or like im starving. I enjoy
learning this new way of life and I am thankfull every day thats its working for
me the way it should. I know that with every effort on my part, will make my
progress go that much faster. Thanks for everyone support

Hello, I am trying to locate anyone who had a problem with their
adjustable gastric band. My daughter had a perforation and had to
have it removed 3 days after she had it put in . she had to go into
surgery with a 105 temp and have it removed. I am looking for anyone
who had a similar problem. I would appreciate a reply.

NEW MEMBER!!!

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Hello everyone I am Alicia. I had WLS on February 12, 2004 at Haper-
Hutzel Hospital here in Michigan. I am currently 9 weeks out and
down 52 pounds (smile). I am so happy to have had this procedure
done because it was a LIFE SAVING TOOL for me. I have battled with
obesity for more than 18 years and it’s so amzaing how many different
diets I have tried both supervised and unsupervised. I look at the
progress that I am making with WLS and I am totally astounded at how
fast this works. Looking at myself now I sometimes become so
emotional knowing how hard I tried to lose this weight before and how
fast it’s melting off now. I hope to both give and receive
much "SUPPORT" from this group and look forward to meeting lots of
new people. Thank you for listening :-)
