Ask the doctor if you can just do the testing on a daily basis at home without having to drink the glucose. BTW I did turn diabetic but not during the pregnancy. They do this because it is not uncommon for a woman to turn diabetic during pregnancy and not even know it. I had a dear friend who did just that, went into a diabetic coma and had to be airlifted to a hospital to be treated. I know it is uncomfortable, but let the doctors do what they have to do. Well the fasting draw was fine, the 1 hour (which I dumped terribly was a little elevated) the 2 and 3 hour draw where fine. So now they are trying to make me do it again. What do they think I mean in the first hour my system was in shock. <!--more--> Did anyone else go through things like this? What did your ob do for you?
