Update on Me..Its been awhile
HI Everyone,
There are so many new faces on these sites I am not sure if anyone will remember
me. I have been lurking for awhile, not having time to response to anyone. I
just enjoy hearing everyones questions and answers though. They have helped me
so much..so for that I thank you all.
Well a little about me, to introduce myself and remind those that I have spoken
to before.My name is Bahia and I live in Sacramento. I had surgery on November
7, 2003. I was 326lbs, the highest weight I have ever been in my 28 years of
life. It has been almost a year, one week away and my current weight is 192.
Total weight loss of 134lbs. I have never been so happy in my entire life.
This surgery was the best decision I have ever made. I am still losing, slowly
but surely. I am trying harder and harder to incorporate more exercising,
although it is still a battle for me. No matter what I hate
exercising..although I have to say, lifting weights I am starting to enjoy. I
think its because I can actually see muscle forming under my skin. Thats
motivation if I do say so. I am doing well with eating but I have slacked off
on my protein so I have decided to go back to basics and start drinking protein
shakes again. I think that will help with increasing my weight loss.
My next step is getting closer to my goal, 150lbs and then having plastic
surgery. My question to some of you professionals out there, what were you
first steps in getting approved for plastic surgery? I am hoping my insurance
will cover it and my doctor is very supportive. I am just not sure how long I
should wait before I should start going through the approval process. I figure
that a surgeon might perform the surgery at 160 which I am hoping I can get to
in the next 4 months.
To everyone still contemplating this surgery, I hope that you find what your
looking for and realize that it will save your life, in more ways then one.
