<description>HI there.. I have to ask... which surgery did you have done? Lap or By Pass....
I am having the lap done in about 5 weeks and can't wait.. But I have lost 28
pounds in the last 2 months.. *S* It seems like you are dong well but very
quickly. going from the step to another?? on the eating. I know my Dr. told me
yesterday.. that for at least a month I should be on the clear and all fluids
and at the 3 week mark think about adding .. one new food .. pureed at a time..
to see if you can tolerate it. and most anything can be purreed.. But look for
protein..first.. then veggies and fruits and the last carb foods.... are you
taking your vitiams? Yet??

I would LOVE to hear from you all about what is good for the Pureed meals - I
will be on it thru Easter until at least April 1st or the 4th... HELP!! :-)

<description>I'm not sure that milk is good for us - most of us are lactose intolerant
after surgery, and the milk sugars are.. Sugar. If you're going to do
dairy, I'd do yoghurt, instead. At least some of the lactose has been eaten
away by the &#34;good bugs&#34; and it would be easier on your stomach, and the gas.
This is JMHO, I know that some docs think you should do dairy, but the part
of your body where you digest the protein/calcium from it has now been
bypassed, so you're not getting enough good to warrant discomfort. And
there are other docs who say not to drink it. (Sometimes I wish they could
all get on the same page, yanno? LOL)

Anything you can put through a baby grinder will work for a pureed meal.
Some of my favorites were refried beans with cheese, almost anything with
ricotta cheese

Here's one from another list - it's a &#34;pureed lasagna&#34;
&lt;!--more--&gt;

1/4 cup ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons of pizza sauce
Oregano, Basil, and Garlic powder to taste
Garnish with mozzarella cheese

Blend ricotta, pizza sauce, oregano, basil, and garlic together (just
use a spoon) and sprinkle mozzarella on top. Microwave for 30-60
seconds. Enjoy!

Ricotta with peanut butter with a tsp of splenda makes a wonderful dessert,
if you like peanutbutter.

If you like cauliflower, you can make cauliflower mashed potatoes w/cheese,
from the atkins diet (and it's something you can have if you're out at a
Ruby Tuesdays.).

The goal is the texture, not the specific food. So, again, as long as you
can grind it up in a baby food grinder (and you can get cheap BF grinders at
Walmart), you're good to go. Heck, you can grind up hotdogs, if you want
&#60;G&#62;.

I agree!! I am post op 11 days and I have been moved up to Pureed Foods. I
have been eating Cream of Wheat or yougurt for breakfast (3 tbsp), 2 tbsp of
pureed turkey &#38; 1 tbsp of apple sauce for lunch and dinner. I have been
unable to get my 3 glasses of milk in between meals since it leaves my
tongue like a cat's tongue.

I would LOVE to hear from you all about what is good for the Pureed meals -
I will be on it thru Easter until at least April 1st or the 4th... HELP!!
