Alphabet Soup M Mantain motivation Daily
Today’s Alphabet Soup letter is "M"
"Maintain your motivation Daily
Maintaining motivation can be difficult some days. The kids are sick,
the laundry piles up, you forgot to write a check in your checking
account, it’s cloudy outside–and the farthest thing from your mind is
feeling motivated. What to do? M is for MOVE! Not to a different
locale! Move your body. It is at these times that movement is crucial.
Movement in the form of exercise brings to the forefront of every cell
in your body what your goals are. It helps you to focus. It lifts your
spirit and helps you to have the energy to cope–sometimes to even
laugh at what earlier seemed like disaster.
M is for MARVELOUS!!. Today is the same 24 hour time period that you
had yesterday. What will you do with it? We have marvelous lives–even
with the problems we have. Being able to breathe, and express love, and
see another day is a wonderful, MARVELOUS thing. And consider the
Marvelous prospects ahead as you stick to your Motivation!! Considering
just what is marvelous in your life each day can strengthen you to
maintain and continue onward.
M is for Manners!! When we have lousy days sometimes the closest to us
get the brunt of our emotions. When we do this then we start feeling
down all the more and pretty soon you can feel like you have a
landslide going. Good manners is a thing to feel proud about. Treating
others around us in a kind manner–even better a helpful manner–when
we least feel like it can keep us MOTIVATED DAILY!!
Finally M is for Mischief–Do a little each day. Put a suggestive note
in your hubby’s lunch. Call him unexpectedly and whisper a little
something to him that will stay on his mind all day (or until the end
of that trip away from home!!) A little mischief in the feminine
department can go a long way in keeping you MOTIVATED daily —so that
you can get into more mischief later!!! It’s all about being the person
inside and letting her out."
M is my kind of letter! I think that being a motivated, marvelous
mischievious, well-mannered person is about the best description of me
(or who I strive to be!) that anyone could ever come up with! Does it
describe you or who you want to be pretty well, too!?
As for the motivated part; I can assure you based on my own life
experiences that motivation comes from DOING what you should do. I have
vowed to do my Octane Fitness Q45e Elliptical machine EVERY day. I have
been doing so for over 2 months now and have lost 12 pounds (gained
last year through my 3 failed pregnancies) and am now back to my
"fighting weight" and feel awesome! The motivation didn’t come from
SAYING I would do it everyday, it came from DOING it; then seeing the
results and LOVING the results! Even on a bad day, I am still doing it
and it makes the day a bit better, I promise!
GREAT NEWS for YOU…why do I talk about my elliptical so much? One,
because I really love it. Two, because I love the company who makes it
because they are providing me with ONE to give away to one of my
readers! Oh yes, that’s right–stay tuned for details but ONE of you is
going to get a fabulous elliptical machine so you can do exactly what I
am doing–the rest of you should look into getting one, too though. It
is the best exercise I have ever done.
OK, manners–be nice to people. Life is too short. I recently said for
the 2005 challenge that we should all make amends to anyone we wronged,
didn’t it make you feel great? Well, keep living in a manner that you
never have to say you are sorry for something you did.
Mischief? Be a kid again, have some fun. I love wrestling with my son,
doing a prank to someone or being silly. It makes life a lot more fun.
Try something out of character today!
Do all these things and as Billy Crystal said so eloquently; people
will soon be saying about you "You look marvelous darling!"
