I am new :)
My name is Donna and I am 28 years old and married to Paul who is 38
years old. We have 3 kids all boys Austin is 10 years old and Parker
is 19 months and Connor who is 7 months. ( YES THEY ARE 11 MONTHS
APART) I have had a weight problem my whole life I am at my heavest
weight now. That is and I can’t be live I am saying this but I will
cause I am in the start of having the surgery so here it goes 306 I
have never been this high. I am so scared I won’t wake up and be able
to play with my kids I am not heathly at this point. I have tryed to
to do diets and the working out. Nothing helped me I would lose then
gaine back and it is not fun. My mom had the surgery a 3 years ago and
is doing great she looks and feels it. And I have a hard time getting
out of bed and walking longer then 30 min. I do workout 3 times a week
but have a hard time doing it. So I am scared and excited to have this
done. I was looking for a support group so I am praying I can pick
some brains on questions:) I am also looking forward to learn from you
and hope one day I can bring something also. so that is some things
about me:)

You’ve taken the first step Donna. I too came to the same cross road that you
have arrived at. I was 43 years old with a 4 year old son. I was 398 pounds
and needed to do something. My previous attempts at dieting had failed. I
underwent the laproscopic RNY gastric byapss in Florida in July of last year.
Today I am 160 pounds light. I have a new life. My son has to keep up with me
now. My best advice to you is to research the doctors and find a good one.
Feel free to contact us any time.

Congratulations to everyone who has the courage to begin their weight
loss journey. Most important aspect for all is to do your homework and
research. There are a ton of surgeons out there and several types of
surgery - do what you have to do to ensure you pick the right surgeon
and the best type of surgery for you. There is a web site and they also
publish a monthly newspaper that comes to your home. It’s the only
monthly newspaper devoted solely to morbid obesity and the aftercare.

Good luck!
