<description>Before surgery I was hungry all the time (if I didn't know better I would have
thought I was pregnant, I was that hungry), and my doctor instantly said 'ulcer'
so we did a endoscopy earlier than planned, and sure enough... 6 months of
Protonix (felt better after 1 month, but keep taking it as prescribed so it
doesn't come right back), and it didn't delay my surgery at all. There's more
than one thing that can feel like hunger...

Jen

<description>Don't be so hard on yourself. It has been my experience that when faced with a
situation like this you need to return to the basics. Examine what you are
eating and when. Focus on your smaller meals more often. I am one year post op
and am right at 160 pounds lost. I'm happy with my weight, but still am not
eating what others feel I should be. This is a fight that you are and will
continue to win. Don't get frustrated, for me that always used to lead to
overeating. Think this through, and take the rational road to helping yourself.
