Obesity surgery

I’m awaiting approval from my HMO for wls. As I’ve researched the topic
(including TV shows) I’ve seen that there’s a possibility of needing
plastic surgery after wls to eliminate the sagging extra skin. Does
anyone have suggestions for avoiding this problem?

I have been feeling down lately and have had a difficult time talking
to my friends about it. they are supportive but have no idea what I may
be going thru. the support group in my area is this Wed and It will be
my first visit, i can not wait.

hi i am from New Zealand. i am currently going through a long wait to
have a gastric bypass op through our public health system. i first
asked my Dr about it in june 2005 and i am still in the process but
hopefully getting there slowly. my heaviest has been 166kgs , i have
managed to get 10 kgs off over last 3 months but still feeling very fat
and having to struggle with many health issues because of it. I would
appreciate any encouragement you post op ones can give me.

has anyone that is 34 yrs out gained any wight? i am having a hard
time gained about 20 lbs rny 2004

Just had to share with all my gastric bypass buddies that as of today, I am
in ONEderland!!!!! It’s my first big goal! Yay! I want to celebrate! the pee pee dance> LOL

omega 3

I had wls 3 years ago and am going to have heart surgery in a couple
of weeks. My cardiologist wants me to take an Omega 3 supplement and I
am not sure what to take that will be absorbed. I am not sure a
regular oil capsule would be absorbed enought to help. Can someone
give me some advise.

For all of you out there who are looking for good information I would
highly recommend the monthly publication Beyond Change. You can check
out the web site at www.beyondhchange-obesity.com Each month has a
otn of articles that will probably address anybody’s concerns. If you
have a specific question and you send it to them - they will answer.
I’ve checked out all the others and this is the best as far as I am
concerned.

And other than my Segway and whole house generator, I usually only buy
kitchen toys .

OK, You all might find me a little wierd, but I really don’t trust
microwaves. But there are things I want to heat up in "our serving"
sizes - that getting a pot out and putting it on the stove seems like
overkill. Frequently it’s, like, pot roast that I crock potted, or left
overs.

That’s the build up. I bought myself a Paula Deen Basic Editions
toaster that will toast and make a poached egg or 1-4 boiled eggs in
it’s little steaming compartment. (you can get them at Walmart) - I
discovered I can put a serving of roast I want to rewarm into the
poaching tray, add an ounce of water, and in 4 minutes or less, it’s
ready, hot, tasty, etc. (steaming has added a little water to the

hello everyone, I am sorry if this letter isnt to be posted in some groups but i
think the more prayers we have going up the more it will help thanks in
advance…….my daughter in laws sister husband was crucked by a wall yesterday
in havanna illinois and was in surgery for 7 hours and is now a vent his lower
back was broken and his dyafram(spelled wrong)) was sliced so he can not breath
on his own.. he has three babies 10 yrs old ,4 yrs old, and a 4 month old…
please we need all the prayers.. thanks alot everyone….Love Stacy and Amber
