years old. We have 3 kids all boys Austin is 10 years old and Parker
is 19 months and Connor who is 7 months. ( YES THEY ARE 11 MONTHS
APART) I have had a weight problem my whole life I am at my heavest
weight now. That is and I can’t be live I am saying this but I will
cause I am in the start of having the surgery so here it goes 306 I
have never been this high. I am so scared I won’t wake up and be able
to play with my kids I am not heathly at this point. I have tryed to
to do diets and the working out. Nothing helped me I would lose then
gaine back and it is not fun. My mom had the surgery a 3 years ago and
is doing great she looks and feels it. And I have a hard time getting
out of bed and walking longer then 30 min. I do workout 3 times a week
but have a hard time doing it. So I am scared and excited to have this
done. I was looking for a support group so I am praying I can pick
some brains on questions:) I am also looking forward to learn from you

Nephrolithiasis. Isn’t that a neat sounding word?
Trust me, you do NOT want it! It’s medicalese for kidney stones.
Yesterday was excruciating. If you’ve ever had a
gall bladder attack, the pain reminded me of
that. I could NOT get comfortable! Posted
yesterday evening to a couple of the groups I’m
on, stating that I was going to be going to the
hospital as soon as hubby got home and a friend
got here to take care of Isaac. I asked for
advice as to what to suggest the doc look for/at.
One person (a nice guy (!) named Steve) said it
sounded to him like I was working on a kidney
stone. Long story short, looks like he was right.
Had a miserable night last night, in spite of the

Hi Everyone!
I’m brand new to this group. I’ve been thinking a bit
more, lately, about possibly having surgery - bypass
maybe, though I’m leaning towards lap band. It feels
like such a sobering, drastic measure to have weight
loss surgery, and yet, how much longer will I be
willing to live like I have been? I’m 44 years old,
overweight to some degree since age 11, and currently
I’m about 300 pounds - at 5′2".
If any of you care to share what finally made up your
mind to go ahead with surgery, I’d be so glad to hear
your points of view!

Just thought I would shout out that I made it to one year! 123 pounds lost and
feeling pretty darn pleased with myself. I have learned so much, have so much
more to learn. Its been one heck of a journey. My goal was to wear a size 14 or
large and I have gotten to that with some to spare. Where ever I land will be ok
with me, I just wanted to be healthy and more normal looking. I am able to be
active and have so much less pain.

Hi y’all-
I just wanted to share the experience I am having right now in my
journey towards surgery and the setbacks I am going through, wanted
to know if anyone else had to go through this.
I have been in preparation for gastric bypass now for almost 3 years,
which is when I was given a recommendation for surgery due to morbid
obesity (man, that one hurt, I wasn’t expecting those words). I had
started and had to postpone due to losing my insurance because I was
laid off from my job. Once laid off, I was out of work for 10
months, but then landed a job at a hospital (interesting, huh?). I
had to work for at least 1 year in order to qualify for a medical
leave, in which I did and then started at it again in June 2005, but
was not able to schedule anything until August 2005. So in August I
met with the Dietician twice and the Surgeon. I started my
